Property is always a sound investment,they key is buying at the right time to maximize the return.
A recession is the right the right time to buy property if you have the money or means to do so.
The worst time to buy property for investment purposes is in a property boom.

Thanks for providing your thoughts on the current investment arena. I’m a bit of a gold bug and an average main street kind of guy trying to get a grip on the strangeness of the markets. I follow the spot price with ExactPrice. You mentioned the supply and demand of commodities in your post, but what I can’t get is how the price of gold is where it is when I’m hearing from a number of people that it’s become pretty hard to find.

Do you think there’s dirty manipulation by banks going on with the price of gold?

And do you think gold will sky rocket like Peter Schiff is forecasting for 2009?.

I really am not too optimistic for the US economy myself in light of all the fraud and government bailouts of failed businesses.
