Marin Capital is an investment company focused on investing in or acquiring mid market companies with a defensible market niche and consistent cash flow. Our investments fall into two categories. We acquire businesses where the owner is looking to exit the business and we invest alongside highly motivated managers and business owners who want to grow their business. We align our interests with other stakeholders by putting our own capital at risk. In general, the companies we acquire or invest in are at a transition point in their development, and we act as ‘agents of change’ for those businesses. The Principles and Board have all been business owners and senior executives who have built their own successful businesses. Marin is not distracted by short term “noise”, nor are we motivated by fees or a “quick flip”. We take a long term approach to business growth believing this is the right way to maximize shareholders’ return on investment. Once invested into a company, Marin maintains ongoing strategic, operational and financial support for our businesses.
