Blank endorsement
An endorsement consisting of nothing but a signature and allowing any party in possession of the endorsed item to execute a claim.

Blank endorsement of a financial instrument such as a check is only a signature, not indicating the payee. The effect of this is that it is payable only to the bearer. Endorsement can be signature on a negotiable instrument indicating a person's intent to become a party to the instrument. A specific example is a signature on the back of a check, authorizing it to be deposited by a Holder in due course.
