Regional bank

A bank with a primary market in a regional or metropolitan area but takes deposits from throughout the state in which it is located.
A bank that operates in one region of a country, as opposed to a money center bank, which operates nationally and globally. It is typically more expansive than a community bank, but more restrictive than a national financial Institution. Regional Banks companies that provide, on a limited regional Basis, banking services such as deposits; loans, leases, mortgages, and credit cards; ATM networks; securities brokerage; investment banking; insurance sales; and mutual funds and pension funds management.
