Founded in 1975, Ferguson Wellman Capital Management is a privately owned investment advisory firm, established in the Pacific Northwest. With more than 525 clients, the firm manages $2.5 billion in assets that comprise union and corporate retirement plans; endowments and foundations; and individuals.

History:

H. Joseph Ferguson and Norbert J. Wellman worked together in the brokerage industry for a number of years before launching Ferguson Wellman Capital Management in 1975. In their new endeavor, the two men strove to deliver investment management strategies, with a high level of client service, in an environment that held to a strong set of core values and principles.

Over 30 years later, Ferguson Wellman continues to thrive, with the founders’ principles as the basis of its success. The firm has grown in size while continuing to provide its clients with highly personalized investment strategies and services. In an ever-changing financial landscape, Ferguson Wellman’s mission and core values provide a guiding set of tenets that have defined the firm since 1975.

Joe and Norb are now retired, but their vision is still embodied today.
