History:
Spirit Bank began business as a de novo, independent, community financial institution on January 25, 1999. Spirit Bank is owned by Spirit Bancshares, Inc., which in turn, is owned by Independent Bancshares, Inc. of Red Bay, Alabama.
The bank was initially located in a modular bank building consisting of three small offices, three teller windows, two drive-thru banking lanes, and an ATM machine. Due to the support of the community and our customers, and the resulting growth of our bank, plans were made in late 2006, to begin construction of a new, modern banking facility, to be located on the same site. Construction began in April of 2007 and was completed by the end of September, 2007. On September 30, 2007, an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony was held and on October 1, 2007, the new facility opened for business. The new bank building now is composed of 4 spacious offices, a four window teller area, three drive thru lanes, and a new 24 hour drive up ATM machine. The new building also allowed for an increased number of safe deposit boxes and other additional banking amenities.
Spirit Bank employs personnel who are long time residents of Tishomingo County, Mississippi and possess many years of banking experience. All employees participate within local community, scholastic, and church related activities and take pride in being a part of the everyday life of our area.
