Overview:

McAdams Wright Ragen is a full service regional brokerage firm and investment advisor located in the Pacific Northwest. We provide investment services to retail clients through our retail brokers and investment advisory associates. A capital management division provides investment management and financial planning. Our institutional brokers service institutional clients around the country. We have our own research department, which provides detailed coverage on both Northwest stocks and national stocks, using a contrarian investment strategy.

We maintain an agency equity trading desk, a principal equity trading desk specializing in thinly traded stocks and a fixed income desk dealing in a full range of debt securities. Our corporate finance department provides investment banking services and merger and acquisition assistance to regional public and private companies.

History:

McAdams Wright Ragen was formed in 1998 by Brooks Ragen and Scott McAdams, both formerly associated with the regional firm Ragen MacKenzie. Underlying the formation of McAdams Wright Ragen is a belief that regional investment firms occupy a unique and valuable niche to regional investors and businesses.

McAdams Wright Ragen is wholly owned by Manzanita Capital, Inc., a closely held corporation owned primarily by employees.

McAdams Wright Ragen has grown to approximately 80 employees with offices in Seattle, Bellevue and Portland. Client assets under management are approximately three billion dollars. The company has been profitable every year.
