Overview:

South Coastal Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of MountainOne Financial Partners, MHC. We operate three full service offices and five automated teller machines along the south shore of eastern Massachusetts in Rockland, Scituate, and Quincy. As a full-service bank, South Coastal Bank offers commercial, installment and mortgage loans; electronic and on-line banking services; telephone banking; consumer deposit products such as checking, savings, certificates of deposit and IRAs; and commercial deposit products including checking, savings, money market and sweep accounts.

History:

Established in 1868 in the eastern section of the town of Abington, Massachusetts the bank assumed the name of East Abington Savings Bank. With the incorporation of the Town of Rockland in 1874, the bank changed its name to Rockland Savings Bank by which it was known until September 2000 when the name was changed to South Coastal Bank. This most recent name change was made to better reflect our growing commitment to Massachusetts' south shore communities.

Since 1999 the bank has more than tripled in asset size from $75 million to over $255 million, added an experienced commercial lending and mortgage lending team, opened a branch in Quincy, and developed approximately two dozen new products and services.

With a long history of community involvement, South Coastal Bank provides financial support to dozens of charitable organizations in the area. Our employees share this commitment and give generously of their time, volunteering hundreds of hours to help those less fortunate.
