Our mission is to provide products and services to our members with the goal of empowering them to understand the importance of financial stability and security, while offering tools to make sound financial decisions.

Overview:

Pioneer Valley Federal Credit Union was chartered on April 27, 1923, and is the Second Oldest Postal Credit Union in the United States. The Credit Union was originally chartered under the name Springfield Mass Post Office Employees Credit Union. The intent of our founders who were ten very noble postal workers was to “promote thrift among its members and to make loans to its members for provident purposes.”

The Credit Union's first location was on Dwight Street in Springfield which then moved to Main Street. In October 1985 we opened our main office on Fiberloid Street at the new Bulk Mail Center and 1991 moved in to our existing location on Brookdale Drive.
