History:

First National Bank was chartered on January 13, 1885, and has been serving the Big Country Area for more than 120 years. To better meet the need of our customers, we formed a banking office in Clyde, Texas during 1991, and also opened a new banking facility in Abilene, Texas during April of 1995. More recently, December 1, 2004, First National Bank of Baird opened a branch in Brownwood, Texas. On April 23, 2004, we also broke ground for a new banking facility at the corner of Buffalo Gap Road and the Winter's Freeway, opened March 31, 2005.

First National Bank is a home-town bank with directors, officers, and employees who are committed to serving the community in which they work and live. Knowing customers by name and being eager to serve their needs is important in developing quality relationships. At First National Bank, we are committed to the tradition of providing superior service with a warm and friendly smile.
