CommunityBank of Texas had its start through a group of local investors with a single vision. The vision of bringing real hometown banking back to their communities. Hometown banking with hometown bankers who believe in highly personalized customer service and, who can make lending decisions for the community, right here in the community.

Since first opening in August 2007, CommunityBank of Texas has expanded our geographic footprint, more than doubling our locations in less than a year. New branches are already in the works to better serve the Southeast Texas region. And, we continue to experience unprecedented asset growth due to the community’s overwhelming response to locally owned, independent banking.

History:

One of Texas' fastest-growing banks, CommunityBank of Texas opened its doors in August 2007 with the vision of bringing true local decision making and personal banking relationships back to individuals and businesses. With the operating philosophy that no one knows a community better than the people who live and work there, "Bank Where U Live" proved an idea whose time had come and one that continues to prove itself as evidenced by the bank's solid and stable growth.

Beginning with assets of $183 million and seven branches in Southeast Texas, CommunityBank has grown to $1.1 billion in assets and more than two dozen banking centers throughout East Texas and the Houston region.

With our roots as an independent community bank, we proudly support local business and workforce initiatives in the market areas we serve, in addition to numerous civic groups, charitable organizations and youth programs.
