Overview:

GuideStone Capital Management is a Christian-based provider of investment advisory services. Founded on integrity and excellence, GuideStone Capital Management delivers comprehensive, high-quality, value-added investment services to evangelical retirement and institutional investors.

Dallas-based GuideStone Capital Management is the investment advisor to GuideStone Funds and is a controlled affiliate of GuideStone Financial Resources. Its advisory service spans a total of 28 investment funds, 34 sub-advisors and 73 investment mandates.
History:

GuideStone has long-standing corporate history and began utilizing the manager-of-managers approach in 1971 when the first external firm was hired for the oversight of a U.S. equity portfolio. Since then, the program has been broadened and continuously refined to meet the ever-increasing challenges of the global financial markets.

In March 2000, SBC Financial, Inc. was founded as a controlled affiliate of the Annuity Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and a Registered Investment Advisor under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. SBC Financial, Inc.'s name was officially changed to GuideStone Capital Management in the fall of 2004.

In June 2004, the Southern Baptist Convention approved a new ministry statement that allowed GuideStone Capital Management to expand its market by making its outsourcing solutions available to Christian evangelical churches and ministry organizations.
