McElhenny Sheffield Capital Management, LLC. (MSCM) is an independent registered investment advisor and comprehensive wealth management firm that services individual investors, family offices, trusts and other registered investment advisors. We provide objective counsel and act as fiduciaries for our clients so they can have the assurance and peace of mind that their wealth is being managed in their best interests. Our independence allows us the flexibility to offer our clients unique access to a variety of superior investment products with no restrictions or bias limiting our investment options.

History:

MSCM, LLC was formed in 2000 as a registered investment advisor to manage private investment partnerships (aka hedge funds) for qualified individuals and institutional investors. The firm originally deployed a specific options-based absolute return investment strategy within an investment partnership structure. Having lead investors through a number of chaotic market periods, we were asked to offer expanded services beyond this core strategy. This growing demand also drove us to change our structure from partnerships to separately managed accounts.

Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) allow us the ability to work with investors in a broader, non-strategy specific context, thus customized to their own personal situation. The structure allows us to leverage our investment expertise for a client’s entire portfolio, while also offering them the transparency and custodial security that they seek.
