Overview:

Murphree Venture Partners is a venture capital/private equity firm that makes investments in entrepreneurial enterprises with high-growth potential. While MVP will do start-up ventures with proven entrepreneurs on occasion, we prefer companies with revenue traction in the $3 million to $30 million range. We also prefer companies whose revenues can be grown both organically and through add-on acquisitions. The firm seeks to align itself with entrepreneurs and management groups with whom we can develop strong working relationships, and with whom we can act in concert as owners/investors. We invest in the Sun Belt region of the U.S. from our four offices in Houston, Austin, Baton Rouge and Birmingham.

The practical experience of Murphree Venture Partners principals brings to the firm a "real world" point of view and is especially effective in guiding a venture through the entrepreneurial process to commercial success. The entrepreneur not only receives capital for his or her venture, but also gets almost 75 years of direct entrepreneurial experience as part of the process to help their company reach it's full potential.

Since the mid 1970's, Murphree Venture Partners principals have been the lead investor in, a substantial investor in, or the CEO of over 85 entrepreneurial, high growth companies. Over that period, we have produced returns for our investors that surpass most key industry benchmarks.

We have done this by being calculated risktakers, not gamblers. We invest alongside strong syndicate partners in businesses and industries we understand.
