History: 

CitizensBANK is Lubbock County’s oldest bank. The Bank was chartered on October 13, 1932,
in Slaton, Texas, located only 15 minutes southeast of Lubbock. A leading agricultural lender,
generations have looked to CitizensBANK to build agricultural enterprises and plan for the future.


In 1993, CitizensBANK broadened its scope beyond Slaton, and opened its first branch in Post. Further expansion continued in 2002 with the acquisition of The First National Bank of
Shamrock. And, since 2004, the bank has opened two new locations in Lubbock at 66th and Quaker and 82nd and Upland.

While our product base expands and we add new locations, we pride ourselves on offering personal customer service in the West Texas spirit. Let us be your bank. Come grow with us!
