Overview:

CapitalSouth Partners was founded in 1998 to provide private equity and mezzanine capital to lower middle-market companies. Since its inception, CapitalSouth has closed over 100 transactions, representing over $2 billion in total transaction capital. With over $700 Million under management through multiple committed funds, CapitalSouth actively seeks to invest in lower middle-market companies located primarily in the South, but also throughout the U.S.

CapitalSouth Partners is headquartered in Charlotte, NC and operates full-service offices in Louisville, KY, Atlanta, GA, and Raleigh, NC.

CapitalSouth Partners provides junior capital to lower middle-market companies for growth financings, management buyouts, control/leveraged buyouts, acquisitions and recapitalizations.

The Fund seeks to invest between $5 Million and $25 Million in companies that possess strong competitive advantages and have proven, successful management teams. Investments of up to $40 Million can be arranged through syndication, where CapitalSouth Partners will serve as the lead investor.

The Fund expects the majority of its investments to be structured as subordinated debt with warrants or preferred stock. The Fund focuses on lower middle-market companies with historical earnings of at least $3 Million with positive revenue growth. The Fund does not invest in start-ups, high-risk situations, turnarounds or businesses located outside the United States.
