History:

In 1948 the firm of Smith & Gesteland began on Madison's capital square in the First National Bank building.

In 1970, after 23 years on the square, growth in the firm necessitated a move to a larger space, prompting us to build our own facility on Ski Lane.

In 1989, the firm moved again to its current location on Greenway Boulevard in Middleton. In September 1998, we acquired a smaller firm, Farmer & Noskowiak, in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Today, we are nearly 100 employees in two offices.

Along with the changes in location and staff size, the needs of our clients have continued to change. Because of our commitment to always meet these needs, our range of services has expanded considerably.

While top-quality tax, accounting and auditing services have been a mainstay, the need for "nontraditional" consulting services has become much more prevalent than years ago. We help clients work “on the business” including helping them manage growth and profitability by focusing on the things that matter.

We are dedicated to helping business leaders manage growth and change. Our service areas include tax, accounting, assurance services, 80-20 Strategic Advising, strategic planning, human resource management, and information technology.
