Union Bank & Trust Company

Mission statement:

In the upheaval of the financial services industry, organizations
and people have come and gone. Customers and clients of Union Bank &
Trust can be reassured by our track record of leadership, longevity and
stability. This translates into a consistency of performance, people you
know, and confidence in a long-term commitment to outstanding customer
service. We have consistently demonstrated excellence in banking
by adhering to these three principles:

Excellent Customer Service
Service that is superior to that of any other bank. We firmly believe that customers use financial services to achieve their dreams. Our commitment is to be the best dream maker in Lincoln and the communities we serve.

Employee Satisfaction
Achieving dreams is impossible without exceptional dream weavers. We encourage an entrepreneurial and creative atmosphere where employees
have the opportunity to excel.

Diversification
Different people have different dreams. Realizing those dreams requires our bank to offer a broad base of financial products.
Overview:

It’s the feeling you get when you enter one of our banks. A natural, comfortable sense of belonging. Yes, it’s a bank, offering everything any other bank does. But it’s a local bank that provides these services with a warm, helpful type of personality. It’s a personal approach that is a direct reflection of our senior management.

For over forty years, Union Bank & Trust has been operated by a longtime Nebraska banking family—the Dunlaps. Through this family’s progressive, customer-focused management style, the institution has grown into a thriving, financially diverse organization serving Nebraskans across the state, as well as the Bonner Springs, Kansas area.
History:

The current day Union Bank & Trust Company was founded in 1917 as the Farmer's State Bank. In 1935, the name was changed to Union Bank, and in 1959, with the addition of trust powers, the company became Union Bank & Trust Company.

In 1965, Union Bank & Trust was purchased by the Dunlaps, a longtime Nebraska banking family. Now, over 40 years later, still owned and managed by the same family, Union Bank & Trust has developed into a financially diverse organization serving Nebraskans across the state, as well as the Bonner Springs, Kansas City, and Johnson County Kansas areas.

Recognized for our innovation and progressive ideas, we've grown significantly during the past decade, both in size and diversity. Along with our affiliated companies, we offer the following services:
Comprehensive business treasury management, lending and depository services
A full line of retail deposit, transaction and lending services
Trust services for individuals, families and employer-sponsored benefit programs
Investment services, including our own family of mutual funds
Life, property and casualty insurance services
