History:

1902 - GUTHRIE SAVINGS BANK

Founded before Oklahoma was a state, this bank was the beginning of today's First Capital Bank. At the time, Guthrie was the capitol of Oklahoma Territory and many of the area's first residents and businesses counted on the bank to help them tame the wild frontier and build their dreams.
1952 - FIRST STATE BANK

By this time, the state capitol had been moved from Guthrie to Oklahoma City. Guthrie Savings Bank had become First State Bank and was celebrating its 50th anniversary of service to the Guthrie area. Even though the state had been through many economic ups and downs, First State Bank continued to grow by providing banking services for agriculture, oil and enterprising business concerns.

1967 - FIRST STATE BANK & TRUST CO.

The name was once again changed as a Trust department was added to the financialservices offered to Guthrie residents. In 1964, the bank moved to its present location at the corner of Oklahoma Avenue and Broad Street... formerly the home of a Buick dealership.
1988 - FIRST CAPITAL BANK

1988 saw the bank's name amended one last time to First Capital Bank when it was purchased by current Chairman and CEO, Jack Stuteville. Loan production offices were eventually established in both Cordell and Kingfisher, with the Kingfisher branch becoming full-service in 2001.
