History:

The Okemah National is an independent, hometown community bank dedicated to the economic development of the Greater Okfuskee County Trade Area and the establishment of lasting banking relationships that deliver Convenient - Competitive - Committed service and products to its customers.

Founded when the town of Okemah was opened in 1902 as the A.B. Dunlap Banking Company, the Bank was nationalized in 1905 when purchased by a group of local businessmen headed by A.J. Martin, an associate of Dunlap's and a former school superintendent from Kansas. From the beginning, the Bank was built on the standard of safe, sound & conservative banking practices, and after more than 100 years we still maintain that standard while seeking innovative ways to enhance the value of an Okemah National relationship.
