History:

First National Bank & Trust Co. began when the charter for First Oklahoma Bank, N.A., was approved on June 30, 1983. With a capital structure of $2.5 million, the bank opened its doors on October 29, 1984. The original incorporators were C. L. Craig, Jr., Mark Finley, David Ingram, Jerald O'Connor, Frank Sims and Stephen Sims. The Citizen Potawatomi Tribe purchased the bank in February 1989.

Current President Larry E. Briggs began managing the daily operations of the bank in November 1994. At that time, the bank moved to a new 32,000 square foot building at 130 E MacArthur. In October 1995, the bank's name was changed to First National Bank & Trust Co. The Holdenville Branch of First National Bank opened January 26, 2000, and our Firelake Branch opened for business in May 2001.

First National Bank completed their acquisition of Guarantee State Bank and its locations in Lawton, Mangum, Granite and Willow on July 28, 2006. FNB purchased the bank from the Charles Greb family who had owned Guarantee State Bank for more than 16 years. The purchase of the four new locations in southwestern Oklahoma brought the total assets and accounts of First National Bank and Trust Company to over 200 million. Our eighth branch opened in February 2007 and is located in Lawton.
