First Midwest Bank was chartered in 1964 by a group of eight Poplar Bluff businessmen and physicians. 8/29/1964 Institution established. Original name: First National Bank Of Poplar Bluff
7/1/1987 Acquired Puxico State Bank in Puxico, Missouri.
3/31/1988 Changed name to First Midwest Bank Of Poplar Bluff.
3/31/1988 Changed primary regulatory agency from Comptroller Of The Currency to Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
