Mission statement:
Here at Rushville State Bank we offer many banking conveniences to our customers, and have strived to be a competitive bank in our community for over 100 years. There is one thing we pride ourselves in, our customer service. We feel that our customers come first. We make every effort to know our customers and make them feel welcome when they come to visit us. In today's fast paced world, the customer has been overlooked, and replaced only by an account number. We want our customers to feel like an old friend rather than a number. So stop in and visit us sometime, we know that you will notice the modern banking we offer, but most importantly, that hometown touch. |

History:
October 3, 1903 marked the opening day of the Rushville State Bank. A group of farmers, businessmen, and a banker capitalized the bank with $10,000.00. Mr. A. B. Jones led this group for over 35 years as President. In 1937, Claude Cassity was elected Cashier and subsequently became President. The Rushville State Bank has continued in the Cassity family through the years with third generation William E. Cassity Jr. now serving the bank as Chairman of the Board. J.W. Peck, E.J. Fenton, David W. Lewis, William E. Cassity Sr. and Gary E. Black have served long terms as President or Chairman of the Board during the past 100 years.
The first building to house the bank was constructed in 1903 with an addition completed in 1984. The bank has grown to over $27 million with 8 employees: Joanie Lance, Rita Champ, Michelle Bretz, Rene' Cassity, Kelly Estes, Trevor Cassity, William E. Cassity Jr., and Gary E. Black. The bank has always had strong employee loyalty evidenced by the long careers of Fred Allison, E.C. Allison, George Duncan, Sam Hiner, Elton Frakes, Betty Page, Mary Cotton, Louise Brown and Linda Rainey. |
