Mission statement:

The bank's primary mission is to serve the financial needs of Sedalia, Pettis County and the surrounding community. We are the largest and oldest established bank in the area and enjoy being a highly respected financial institution in Pettis County. Our primary external objective is to maintain and enhance our public image as a sound high quality, friendly place to bank.

The bank's most important asset is its customer base. Without customers the bank is nothing. Our products are designed to meet the needs of customers, our hours are set to meet the needs of the customers, and our employees are hired to meet the needs of our customers.

The bank's next most important asset is its staff. Without dedicated and responsible employees, it would be impossible to serve our customers. A major part of our mission therefore is to be a fair and responsible employer.

History:

In 1883, when Third National Bank was organized, Sedalia was a thriving community of approximately 10,000 people. Sedalia served as the convergence of several major railroads turning the city into the focus of trade for central Missouri, leading to its development as a manufacturing center.

It was this unique feature of the community that helped our bank to grow and prosper as well. We continued to add new locations throughout the area as well as strengthen our offering to all our customers.

In 1992, we affiliated with Central Bancompany, a holding company with over $8.5 billion in assets. More important, however, was Central Bancompany’s strong history serving Missouri communities. With their help we’ve been able to expand our products and services while remaining true to local decision-making.

As we move forward, we will continue to serve the community with the same service commitment that our customers have grown accustomed to.
