History:

BAM Risk Management was incorporated in 2002 as our third entity within the Buckingham Family of Financial Services. Our mission is to help Registered Investment Advisor firms and their clients bridge an important gap that can exist in the investment planning industry.

Traditionally, investment advisors focus on managing investment risk, and insurance advisors focus on managing other types of risk (such as life, health and business risks). By understanding and incorporating both types of risk management within an investment portfolio, chances are greatly improved that investors can still achieve their financial objectives even in the face of personal crisis. We established BAM RM to provide the tools and expertise needed to achieve this goal.

The Buckingham Family of Financial Services founded BAM Risk Management with the recognition that investors and advisors alike would be best served by adding this vital third component. The BAM RM team has built a flexible and growing collection of services designed to:

Help investors and advisors identify and quantify their risk management needs, and document them in a customized Financial Security Statement
Provide access to appropriate, high-quality insurance vehicles to implement Financial Security Statements, including life insurance, long-term care insurance, disability income insurance and business planning tools
Act as either an advisor’s insurance agent or as a value-added resource for an advisor’s existing agent
