History:

Meramec Valley Bank is a State-Chartered, FDIC Insured Commercial Bank. We have been in continuous profitable operation since our inception.

In January 1918, Meramec Valley Bank was chartered by a group of local businessmen. Fifty years later, the bank was sold to a partnership that included William H. Jones, Sr., our Chairman Emeritus. In 1978, Jones, Sr. became the sole owner. The bank’s holding company, Valley Bancshares, Inc. was formed in 1981.

We opened our banking center in Ellisville in 1996 which now serves as our corporate headquarters. Modeled upon Whitehaven, a majestic southern-style mansion in Kentucky, the office epitomizes the friendly, service-oriented approach that has become our trademark.

And as we move forward, the next generation of leadership brings new thinking and fresh ideas, rest assured that our commitment to forming long-term banking relationships is one thing that will never change at Meramec Valley Bank.
