We were chartered in 1983 as the Community Bank of Warrensburg. As our name reflected, the bank was founded on serving the community with a full range of financial products and solutions. And, as much as things have changed, they’ve also stayed the same.

Under the steady leadership of President Steve Abney, we’ve undergone name changes and expansion and we’ve even affiliated with Central Bancompany, an 8.5 billion dollar holding company located in Jefferson City, Missouri. But throughout, the focus has been on providing our customers with first-class services and financial options as well as local decision-making.

And, with both our and Central Bancompany's strong tradition in Missouri, the natural choice for our symbol was the dogwood – the flower of the Missouri State Tree. Wherever you see the Dogwood logo, you can be assured of excellence in services and products as well as a commitment to the community.
