History:

In 1976 Bob Price and John Paige left a national CPA firm and decided to strike out on their own to do something special. Their strong desire to provide the best tax and accounting services to the central valley clients they loved to work with guided their efforts from day one. Their days were long but with a passion for proactive tax and estate planning the firm quickly gained a reputation for going beyond traditional compliance services. Bob’s love of estate planning led to him being highly sought after as a speaker at both the state and national level. As demand for the firms services grew, professional staff and a third partner were added in the late 80’s. It was also at this time that the firm demonstrated its innovative leadership by being among the first local firms to use networked computers and also by establishing a computer lab where clients were taught valuable computer skills.

In 1994 as the firm was looking to expand its breadth of services in the financial reporting and audit arenas, Fausto Hinojosa and Mitchell Buckley joined the firm. The mid 90’s were a time when several new audit standards and regulations significantly impacted the way audits were conducted. The firm capitalized on this “sea of change” and rather than step back from the challenge, viewed it as a significant opportunity. With the support of the firm and an intense desire to succeed, Fausto spearheaded a very successful marketing effort targeting nonprofit and governmental organizations. Fausto’s continued success in acquiring new clients, his commitment to quality work and his desire to put customers first led to his partnership in the firm in 1999.

When you look up work ethic in the dictionary you just might find a picture of Mitchell Buckley. Mitch’s demonstrated commitment to doing whatever it takes to provide quality and timely service led to his partnership in 2004 as he assumed responsibility for John Paige’s clients. Mitch’s advanced studies in corporate, partnership and estate taxation provide a strong foundation for the firms tax compliance and planning department to continue on its trajectory of growth.

As we look towards the future, we know two things. First, any success we enjoy is a direct result of the firms dedicated staff. Their passion for what they do, their desire to do the right thing even when it hurts and their commitment to improve our community inspire us. Second, without the trust of our clients and the support of our colleagues and community, we would not exist.
