History: 

Banque CIC (Suisse): a bank with a long history. As a Swiss bank that has been in business since 1909, we place our trust in the traditional values of the Swiss banking industry. With almost 100 years experience at our head office in the cosmopolitan city of Basel coupled with the backing of CIC (Crédit Industriel et Commercial), which is integrated with the Crédit Mutuel Group, Bank CIC (Switzerland) offers all the services of a Swiss universal bank.
Short history
    
2008     The name is changed to Bank CIC (Switzerland) Ltd.
Merger with ICM Finance S.A., an asset management company located in Basel and Geneva.
2007     A branch is opened in Neuchâtel.
1997     New branch in Geneva through merger with Banque de l'Union Européenne en Suisse SA. Further branches are opened in Lugano and Locarno.
1984     CIAL Suisse is turned into an independent company under Swiss law with the name BANK CIAL (SWITZERLAND).
1977     A branch is opened in Zurich.
1971     A branch is opened in Lausanne.
1931     BAL is taken over by France's Banque CIAL, which has its head office in Strasbourg.
1919     The Bank moves into premises at number 13 Marktplatz in the heart of Basel.
1910     Société Alsacienne de Crédit Industriel et Commercial (SACIC) is formed in Strasbourg.
1909     BAL opens its first counter in Basel's Aeschenvorstadt. Basel-based Gewerbebank AG is integrated in the same year.
1872     BAL shares are listed on the Basel Stock Exchange. The share price is featured in the exchange's first official listing on 1 July 1876.
1871     Banque d'Alsace et de Lorraine (BAL) is formed in Strasbourg by a group of Swiss and French banks. Four bankers from Basel and one from Geneva are the founding members of the Board of Directors.
