To provide the finest auditing, accounting, tax and management advisory services.
To offer service in America's small and medium sized communities.
To be associated with today's fastest growing companies, and to help each client reach his or her maximum potential.
To be a firm that clients find enjoyable and rewarding to work with.
To contribute to our community and the profession to which we belong.
To grow, but never to lose our local identity and our personal relationships with clients.
History:

Born on a farm in Chippewa County, Wisconsin, January 27, 1894, Archibald M. Peisch began his education in 1899 at the local country school where one teacher taught eight grades. In 1915 he graduated from the University of Wisconsin majoring in Economics and immediately accepted a teaching position at the University of South Dakota. There, he met Josephine, (his wife of almost 70 years) who was also teaching there.

After volunteering for the U.S. Army Field Artillery in June 1916 to participate in the military expedition into Mexico to capture Pancho Villa, he soon returned to the University of South Dakota for one semester in 1917, until accepting a teaching position in public finance and history at Iowa State College. He then re-enlisted in the Army later that year, and upon his discharge on Armistice Day, 1918, he joined his brother, Herman, in the practice of public accounting in Minneapolis.

September 1920 came and he accepted his next challenge at Dartmouth College, teaching taxation and accounting at the Amos Tuck School of Administration and Finance, continuing there until 1930.

At that time, housing was virtually nonexistent in Hanover, New Hampshire, so he and Josephine rented a home across the Connecticut River in Norwich, Vermont. It was there on October 1, 1920, that he established the firm of Archibald M. Peisch & Company for the practice of public accounting.

Archibald Peisch retired from the firm in March, 1976 and the firm was renamed A.M. Peisch & Company. Mr. Peisch died in 1984 at age 90.

Since its inception, the firm of A.M. Peisch has been known as auditors of clients in the banking industry and governmental organizations. Today, A.M. Peisch & Company, LLP offers a wide range of accounting, tax, and business consulting services. These services are offered to clients in a diverse group of industries, including banks, credit unions, automobile dealers, small businesses, non-profit and governmental organizations, individuals, and others.

The current active partners include Glen Bolster and Todd Burgess (Colchester), Kevin Manahan and Christopher Goulette (St. Albans), Anne Smith and Richard Lyon (St. Johnsbury), Norman Ladabouche (Rutland) and Aaron MacAskill (White River Junction). Each heads a staff of professionals who are familiar with their respective communities. Additionally, the firm's staff is constantly trained in recent developments through professional education courses. Our firm's objective is to provide service of the highest quality, and help our clients to prosper.

To assist in meeting the evolving needs of our clients the firm has formed an investment services company, employed technology experts, and obtained specialized training for all team members. We joined PKF North America Network, a worldwide association of CPA firms based in Atlanta, Georgia in 1987. This association expands the firm’s resources to include over 100 sister firms in the US and around the world. In keeping with the tradition that started over 90 years ago, we treasure the fact that our clients have come to rely on our professionalism.
