Named a top U.S. accounting firm by Accounting Today, WeiserMazars’ team of professionals brings technical expertise, industry insight and an integrated, customized approach to dealing with the critical issues and competitive challenges facing the firm’s clients. Whether on the local level or internationally, the firm guides clients through their day-to-day operations and works with them to ensure they have the right financial structure in place to meet their business goals.

WeiserMazars’ team of over 100 partners and approximately 700 professionals is based out of nine U.S. offices, Israel and the Cayman Islands. As the independent U.S. member firm of the Mazars Group – a prominent international accounting, audit, tax and advisory services organization with nearly 15,000 professionals in more than 70 countries on six continents – WeiserMazars represents clients of all types, including owner-managed businesses, complex, multi-national organizations and high net worth individuals in a multitude of industries.
History:

Last century, after an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army, Maxwell R. Weiser decided to pursue his dream of becoming an accountant. Going to night school while he worked as a bookkeeper, Max graduated New York University. He founded M.R. Weiser & Company in 1921 to serve the accounting and business needs of entrepreneurs. Early clients were a laundry, an oil refinery, and a variety of small businesses.

Maintaining a strict work ethic, Max worked six days a week, year-round. He was dedicated to providing the ultimate customer service experience. In fact, it was said that “his golf clubs saw more courses than he did,” since Max was known for cancelling vacations at a moment’s notice to assist with client emergencies.

Max lived into his 90s and was always very proud of his firm’s success. Max’s son Ken went to school to become a mechanical engineer, but did not like it so he switched to Harvard Business School. Ken joined M.R. Weiser & Company in 1949, was a Managing Partner in the 60s, and continues to work here to this very day. Over the years, many individuals have helped to continue and build upon Max’s legacy. In 2002, the firm shortened its name to "Weiser," modernized its logo, and under the watchful eye of Managing Partner Doug Phillips, began a period of growth and expansion. Victor Wahba, who became the firm's Chief Executive Officer in 2015, now oversees the future sucess of WeiserMazars.
