Overview:
BROCK TAYLOR is one of Horsham’s best known and most successful Independent Estate Agents. Our office is centrally located on the corner of Horsham’s historic Market Square, adjacent to the Old Town Hall, and we have provided an unrivalled level of service to clients in Horsham, and its surrounding villages, since 1992. During that time the office has won numerous accolades - including being Winners of The Estate Agency of the Year competition.
We are fully experienced in selling all types and styles of residential property and, from our office in Horsham, we operate in a radius of between 5 and 10 miles of the town centre. This coverage includes local villages such as Warnham, Mannings Heath, Southwater, Colgate, Copsale, Billingshurst, Slinfold, Partridge Green, Broadbridge Heath, Cowfold, Dial Post and Rusper - to name but a few! The market we operate in is diverse, and we are as comfortable with selling a small Apartment as we are an Executive Detached, or Country Home!
The Company’s Directors share more than 40 years of combined industry experience -having worked in Surrey, Hampshire, London, Middlesex and, of course, Sussex. We invest heavily in our Staff - all of whom have achieved professional qualifications via The National Association of Estate Agents - and offer a high standard of personal customer service. This has resulted in many of our clients re-using our services on numerous occasions and recommending us to friends, colleagues and relatives.
We have invested heavily in marketing and offer all of our properties on the top property portals – including Rightmove, Propertyfinder, Primelocation, Think Property and Property Today – to provide maximum exposure. We also advertise in all the local newspapers and can incorporate bespoke advertising in specialist publications - such as Sussex Life, Horse & Hound or Country Life – when appropriate. We are constantly looking to update and innovate the service we offer our clients, and are pioneers of selling houses by “Open House” marketing, in the Horsham area.
The BROCK TAYLOR Estate Agency is keen to embrace environmental issues and, wherever practical and possible, will look for ethical and environmentally friendly solutions to our work within the industry - hence the purchase of a fleet of Smart cars, and a policy to recycle whenever possible.
We are members of the Ombudsman for Estate Agents (OEA) association - who recently surveyed a number of our former clients and received a 100% satisfaction rating, with regard to whether or not they would be prepared to recommend us to friends or relatives who were considering selling their property. |

History:
The corner of East Street & Market Place has been the home of an estate agent since Bruce Trent opened the doors for the first time in 1976. The office was subsequently acquired by Chris Brock & Martin Taylor, who opened under the revised name of Brock Taylor in 1992 and experienced considerable success and a reputation for good customer service, which has been continued by the current directors Peter Maskell & Matthew Searle who have a combined industry experience in excess of 44 years.
Brock Taylor is set in one of the town’s most eye catching locations as it is positioned on the corner of East Street and the Market Place, which has recently become pedestrianised during the day and is one of the town’s busiest locations and a focus for events in the town including the Horsham Festival. Due to the prominent setting the office is open throughout the week from 8.30 until 18.30, as well as being open on both Saturday & Sunday, for the ultimate convenience to all of our clients. This is particularly useful to vendors or purchasers who live locally, but work in London, Brighton or other commercial centres as we are usually open or able to meet them outside of normal office hours.
The office is staffed by a team of property professionals who all live in Horsham and the surrounding villages and so have a high level of local knowledge and expertise. Furthermore as members of both the Ombudsman for estate agents (OEA) and National Association of estate agents (NAEA) Brock Taylor are committed to providing excellent customer service. Indeed all staff members have obtained professional qualifications through the NAEA technical award, to ensure that our clients have total peace of mind about the quality of service that will be provided to them.
We also believe that a high quality of marketing is essential in achieving the right level of exposure to any property – especially in the current market – and so invest heavily in all forms of media exposure including: striking weekly advertising in the West Sussex County Times and a regular advert in Sussex Life. In addition to this we understand and recognise that it is equally - if not more important - to ensure that we have a strong on line presence for your property. Therefore we employ website prioritisation to ensure that Brock Taylor’s website is linked to the 1st page of Google. In addition all properties are marketed on a host of websites that include Rightmove, Prime Location, Property Finder, Globrix, Homes24, Property Index & Property Live – to name but a few! This ensures that when you instruct Brock Taylor your property will be exposed to the local, National & global market in one fell swoop!
Being set in one of Sussex’s historic market towns, surrounded by a number of villages means that Brock Taylor cover a radius of some 10-15 miles outside of the town, meaning that we are familiar with marketing a diverse range of town & village properties either for sale or rent.
