Overview:

William Owens is the Principal and Founder of the firm. He has served a host of individuals and small business owners in his 20+ years as a practicing Certified Public Accountant. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Scranton.

Since starting the business in 1994, we have now grown to a full-time staff of eight of which four of these staff having a signiﬁcant amount of experience with Community Associations and Non Profits, including one additional CPA who manages many of the Audits. In addition, our ﬁrm participates in the American Institute of Certiﬁed Public Accountant’s quality review program, which requires a quality review be performed by an AICPA member ﬁrm every three years. Our most recent quality review was successfully completed during 2012 and our next review will be in 2015.

Due to the change in in the area's economy, due to Marcellus Shale Gas, our firm provides many services to individuals, partnerships, FLPs (family limited partnerships), and trusts, related to the natural gas industry.

In addition to the services we provide to small businesses and individuals, William Owens & Company, CPA has made a strong commitment to serving common interest realty associations and other non-proﬁt organizations, which has been our ﬁrm specialty since its inception. We provide many services to these organizations including audit, review or compiled fnancial statements, elections, as well as tax and consulting services. Currently we provide such services to over 40 community and condominium associations of varying sizes.
