Overview:
F1RST Finanical Services was established in 1996 as F1RST Financial and has rapidly grown, providing professional advice to over 1500 clients all over the United Kingdom. We aim to provide a first class ethical service to both our existing and new clients.
We listen to your needs and offer clear, jargon free advice on the most suitable solutions for your financial needs and select these from the whole of the market. We can offer this level of service due to the fact we are Independent Financial Advisers and have access to the full range of products available in the United Kingdom as opposed to a Tied Agent or Company Representatives who may only be able to advise on the products from the Company they represent. This means that we are able to offer you impartial advice and recommend the most appropriate products for you insuring you have choice, value for money along with our high quality service. We invest heavily in state of the art research tools to ensure we thoroughly evidence why we are recommending a product to you. This is presented to you by way of a Suitability Report.
Our Five Step Process
As financial advisers, we are highly trained professional people, continuously updating our market knowledge through thorough training and development. Our service provides a rigorous five-step approach to financial planning. The initial meeting will be free of charge and there is no obligation on your part:
Step 1 - Understanding You
A fact-find is completed to enable us to gain a comprehensive understanding of your circumstances, goals, financial objectives and attitude to risk. Your existing arrangements will be reviewed, without necessarily giving you advice to make any changes.
Step 2 - Needs Analysis
At this stage we will analyse your needs in depth, to ensure that we take into account all aspects of your situation, including where it is today and where you want it to be tomorrow. We will also agree remuneration for our professional service with you, according to your choice.
Step 3 - Research
Advisers will evaluate products and services from major insurers, product providers, investment companies, lending institutions and banks. Through access to sophisticated research facilities we aim to establish: - which companies charge the most competitive premiums - which companies provide the best benefits and value for money - the financial stability of the product provider - returns, charges, and service levels of the product provider and an understanding of any complicated policy terms or small print.
Step 4 - Recommendation
We summarise our recommendations and research into a ‘suitability letter’. We then send this to you as a permanent summary of our advice for your records.
Step 5 - Solutions
After agreeing our recommendation with you, we will put your solution into action.
Once we have arranged a solution for you, our aim is to maintain a high level of support and review your situation at regular intervals. We pride ourselves of the high number of clients that use us again and again. If we arrange a Mortgage for a client, our Active Mortgage Management system will ensure that with your authority, we contact you near to the time your mortgage deal is due to end and start the research process for you, to find a new deal for the next phase of your mortgage.
How We Are Paid
We are acutely aware that you can choose to seek financial advice from any number of different sources and consequently we have set out to provide a premium service with real value for money. Such is the scale and ‘buying power’ of our organisation; we can often help you to access lower charging structures, which others simply cannot match.
However, as you will appreciate, whilst cost is an important factor, it is the end result that matters and our objective is quite simply to exceed your expectations.
There are a number of ways you can pay for advice – commission, fees, or a combination of both;
Commission
Each time you purchase a policy or product through us, we receive a proportion of the premiums or contributions, known as commission, direct from the insurer or investment company or product provider as part of its overall charges. You will receive an explanation of costs and benefits, along with any relevant illustrations, which will show the amount of commission we will be paid. This is discussed with you before you apply for the product.
Fees
Instead of paying commission you may prefer to pay us a fee, normally based on an hourly rate. Not all our advisers offer this service, so check first that they are able to work on a fee paying basis. We ask that if you do choose to pay for our service this way, that you can afford to pay the cash sum that will be required once the advice has been taken or when the fee becomes payable.
We are proud of the high number of referrals sent to us by satisfied clients and we are committed to earning the respect and confidence of every single client. |
