Overview:

OAMPS Insurance Brokers is a Wesfarmers Company with over 750 employees in 34 branches around Australia serving over 120,000 clients. We have operations in the UK and a sister company, Crombie Lockwood, in New Zealand. OAMPS owns a Lloyd's broker and is the only Australian owned broker accredited to place business direct with Lloyd's in London. We are also a member of the Assurex Global Broking Network.

We get closer to clients. We do this through specialising – providing specifically designed protection packages – and by working hand in hand with clients to truly understand the complexities of their business.

We'll always work hard to be part of our different communities, whether it's inside a client's business, with an industry association, a specific sector or across geographical regions. Sometimes we'll be providing a business benefit to a group of people - at other times it will be to support local initiatives and community activities

History:

OAMPS Insurance Brokers was originally Oil Agents Mutual Provident Society and was founded in 1976 when we sourced a better insurance deal for an industry association's membership. We realised then that all industries face unique challenges, and we've used this approach to develop targeted insurance deals for over 120,000 clients and 100 industry associations.

OAMPS listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1989 and grew to join the ASX Top 200 Companies List in 2004.

In 2006, OAMPS became a Wesfarmers Company and is part of their Insurance Division.
