Gerald Thomas & Co are an established firm of United Kingdom Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers based in Swansea but servicing clients throughout South Wales and beyond. We specialise in assisting business owners to achieve their personal and business objectives.

We provide a wide range of services to both individuals and businesses, and innovative solutions to business problems using the latest technology.

Our clients range from private clients to businesses with turnovers of over £20 million. We have specialist knowledge of many business sectors, and because of the close involvement that we have in helping our clients, this extends far beyond the preparation of accounts.

The firm's partners comprise Chartered Accountants and a former Inland Revenue Inspector of Taxes as head of taxation services.

All the general practice partners have international firm training and experience with expertise ranging from business planning and raising finance to sophisticated tax planning. The firm’s tax partner has a wealth of experience in direct taxation including district and Special Compliance Office investigations.

We are ably supported by a mix of staff including a number of trainee and qualified accountants. We are committed to a continuous training programme for staff and partners to ensure we keep up to date with the ongoing changes in the accounting and taxation world.

Our subsidary company Gerald Thomas Wealth Management Limited is an appointed representative of the Validpath Limited network and is able to provide regulated independent advice on a range of investment activities for clients of this firm.

History:

The firm traces its origins to the 1920's when a practice was founded by Dr Gordon Thomas. Subsequently carried on by his son Gerald Thomas the firm has expanded over the years through a combination of internal growth and mergers.

The current firm results from a merger in the 1980's of Gerald Thomas & Co with the firm of Jones O'Brien, founded by Peter Jones, and subsequently incorporating the long established practice of NG Thomas & Co.
