History:

Financial Planning Services exist to co-ordinate all aspects of a person's financial arrangements. It is a continuing process which takes account of the frequent changes in investment markets and in tax legislation, as well as the changing circumstances of individual clients.

Michael Butterfield established the firm at 1 Pembroke Road on 1st November 1982. Initially he was a sole trader with a part-time administrative assistant.

In 1988 he was joined by Shaun Day who was particularly involved with the investment management side of the business.

In 1994 Ben Appleby joined the business working with Michael Butterfield on the financial planning side.

In 1995 the three formed a partnership.

In 1996 Alison Hardwick joined the firm as administrator.

In 2003 Kevin Day joined the firm. He has responsibility for the computer systems, network and database whilst also being involved in the investment management aspect of the business.

In 2004 the firm became a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP).

In 2007 Kevin Day became a partner of the LLP and Victoria Lewton joined the firm as an administrator.
