Overview:

First Service Financial was established on 11th September 2001 - yes 9/11! Timing is our strong point.

We were originally a member of the IN Partnership network, but based on the fact that we are able to offer specialised Pension Transfer Advice and Military Advice, felt that the restrictions of network membership were no longer appropriate.

First Service Financial Limited was authorised as a directly regulated firm with effect from 1st April 2008.

The Director of the firm is Jonathan Plant, who has been involved in Financial Services since 1991.

He worked for AXA Equity and Law (as was), Jardine Financial Consultants, Hogg Robinson and LEBC Group before setting up his own IFA Practice.

He is a Pension Transfer Specialist which means that he is authorised to advice on transfers from Company Pension Schemes to Personal Pension Arrangements.

He is a Past Chairman of the Birmingham Region for the Personal Finance Society, the leading professional body for financial advice in the UK, and holds the Dip PFS Qualification.

He also specialisies in advice to the military, and is a member of the Management Committee of SIAAP, the Services Investment and Insurance Advisory Panel.
