History:

The concept of Union Bank first began when a group of esteemed business people in Granville County recognized the need for a community bank in north central North Carolina. Over 400 individuals and businesses helped found Union Bank by investing in our stock. Their belief in the success of this institution enabled the Oxford branch and corporate headquarters of Union Bank & Trust Company to officially open on April 3, 2006 at 108 College Street. From day one, the Bank’s goal has been to exceed customers’ expectations. Like so-called “megabanks,” we offer the latest in technology, but we have never forgotten our roots, nor have we forgotten the commitment of our shareholders. We’ve also made our imprint on neighboring Franklin, Vance, and Person Counties with other Union Bank locations. We currently have a loan production office in the Person County seat of Roxboro, and plans are underway for a full-service branch by year end. From the attractive, consistent hunter-green-and-cream color scheme to the smiling folks who greet you when you walk in the door and even call you by name, we hope you’ll feel like you’re coming home when you visit us.
