Overview:

In May 2007, Belmores celebrated 30 years of Business in Yarrawonga Mulwala, providing Accounting, Taxation and Financial Planning services. It all started in May 1977 when Peter Dowdle and Howard Smith took over the tax practice from Les Hayes and commenced business as Dowdle Smith and Co in the office above Dr Lyons surgery. Val Hyslop was the first full time employee, with Jean Carmichael working on a part time basis.

As the business grew, the premises were too small, so we moved to our current location, which ironically was previously Dr Van Nooten’s surgery.

Peter left Yarrawonga to commence business in Corowa, which was closer to home. Other partners and asssociates in Yarrawonga included Gary Fuller, Julie Guest, Chris Howe, Terry Hargreaves, Gary Page and Shane Nolen. Howard retired in 1996. Chris, Terry, Gary and Shane are the current principals and associates of Belmores.

For a period of time an Agronomy and Consulting service were implemented, providing the farmers and business development services.

As the business continued to grow, new ventures have been incorporated such as: Financial Planning, providing superannuation, investment and retiring strategies and our Home and Business Lending aiming to provide you with one stop financial shopping. The Belmores Group has a strong commitment to innovation and to offering local employment opportunities.
