Overview:

Nautilus Financial Services was started in New Zealand 9 years ago. Christo Minnie brings with him more than 19 years experience in the financial services industry. Before he joined the Financial Services Industry, he spent 10 years with the military. He resigned from the navy as a Lieutenant Commander in 1992.

Christo joined an insurance company called Old Mutual in South Africa. As a senior production manager he qualified as number 8 (out of 300) and as a financial planner number 46 (out of 5000) in the country in 1998 based on revenue. He also qualified on a regular basis in the regional top 25 Financial Planners. He immigrated to New Zealand in 1999 with his family and started working for AXA New Zealand as a Sales Manager for Auckland. He served in this role for two years and then started his own financial planning business.

This business did extremely well and took up much of Christo’s time, yet he still managed to serve the community. He was Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Westminster Christian School for many years as well as serving as the Marketing Manager on a committee serving the local South African community.

Today he is still serving the community as one of the committee members for the Australian Afrikaans Club and is also heading up his church's immigration ministry.

Christo believes that maintaining and exceeding the ongoing educational standards required of the financial planning industry are essential allowing him to service and meet his client’s objectives. He has a B.A. degree with Industrial Psychology, Management and Nautical Science as majors. In 2006 he completed a Diploma in Financial Planning and has already enrolled himself as he wishes to complete an Advance Diploma in Financial Planning.

Christo is committed to building long term relationships, by working in partnership with his clients, in their journey towards realising their financial and lifestyle goals. He does this with high levels of service, understanding and care.
