History:
In 1977, Richard N. Simoneau left his position at the Internal Revenue Service to start a public accounting office in Thomaston, Maine. In the first two years of practice, he purchased two local firms and merged with Raymond Nickerson of Belfast, Maine to form Nickerson & Simoneau, PA.
In 1982, Dennis E. Norton merged with Nickerson & Simoneau, PA to form Nickerson, Simoneau & Norton, PA By 1985, Raymond Nickerson had left to more fully establish his own practice in Belfast, Maine. At that time, Richard and Dennis formed the firm Simoneau & Norton, PA.
In 1999, the firm expanded to include Marianne Masters, CPA; and since 2003, the firm relocated from its long-time 8 North Main Street location to 14A School Street in downtown Rockland.
Sadly, after his retirement from full-time practice, founding partner Richard N. Simoneau, CPA passed away in November 2005.
The firm's ongoing objective is to provide high quality accounting and review, tax and other consulting services, business valuations, cash flow analysis, budgeting, litigation support, and estate and tax planning. We are committed to grow with the mid-coast area. |
