HIRE PURCHASE - An alternative to leasing usually preferred by the self employed or business people.Unlike leasing,which is a rental agreement with the lender,goods financed under hire purchase remain in the ownership of the borrower,until the loan is paid out.Usually,as is with a lease,finance can be arranged no deposit subject to lenders credit criteria
CHATTEL MORTGAGE - Similar to hire purchase.the major difference being that 100% of the GST portion of goods purchased can be claimed as a imput tax credit.
NOVATED LEASE - A favourite with employers,who do not wish to have a fleet of company cars tied up on their balance sheet,and therefore co sign along with the employee on a novated lease,which still entitles the employee to obtain their company car of their choice,and the car rental is still paid for by the employer.The major difference being are the tax benefits which are two fold.Firstly the tax benefit to the employer is he gets the tax benefit of the monthly rental,without owning the car and the emplyee receives a before tax benefit through salary sacifycing,but the employee takes the car with him if he leaves.
ILOAN CONTRACT - Secured loan contract for the purchase of secured goods such as a car or furniture,by a PAYG employee
PERSONAL LOAN - The most common form of financing for a PAYG employee,can be secured or unsecured,and for any purpose
