Conplant is a specialist provider of compaction equipment assisting business and government to effectively manage the construction and maintenance of infrastructure. To accomplish this Conplant has blended its compaction equipment expertise and experience with its comprehensive service to deliver effective solutions to meet its customers’ commercial requirements.

Conplant was established in 1961 and is the largest privately owned compaction specialist in Australia. We offer the most diverse and comprehensive range of compaction equipment available for hire from our fleet of over 500 units and unlike most companies our complete focus is compaction.

We provide compaction hire services to a wide variety of clients including major state government bodies such as Roads & Traffic Authority (RTA) NSW and Queensland Main Roads, local government including over 100 Councils, both large and small civil contractors, asphalt companies, the building industry and individuals.

Conplant is a 100% Australian owned company. It blends strong ethical values and its entrenched service focus with professional business practices to ensure its customers’ expectations are met or exceeded.

History:

Conplant was established in 1961 specialising in the hire of compaction equipment. Due to the company’s strong service focus and engineering skills it found itself diversifying into general hire, manufacturing, engineering and equipment maintenance and repairs. This strong engineering and service background has become entrenched in Conplant’s culture and remains today.


1989

Conplant introduced the first 3,000kg Pneumatic-Tyred Rollers into the Australian market. These units are ideal for small or confined asphalt jobs and remain basically unchanged from the original Sakai TS31 model (now Sakai TS160).


1995
Conplant opens its first branch outside of Sydney in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales.


1996
Conplant purchased and trialled STA's prototype VV2004PD Padfoot Roller (22,000kg). At the time this unit was the heaviest vibrating roller produced on the world market and during its early life it was hired to the RTA working on deep lift stabilisation.


1998
Conplant purchased the first VV2504D Smoothdrum Roller (26,000kg) produced by STA. At the time this unit was the heaviest vibrating roller produced on the world market and today its specification is only surpassed by STA's latest model, the VV2510.


2000
Compactors Australia’s business is purchased and integrated into Conplant’s Sydney and Hunter Valley operations.


2001
Donpra Hire’s Queensland heavy compaction business is purchased and the operation is immediately expanded.


2004
Conplant commences operations on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.


2005
Conplant is appointed as the Australian Distributor for Ammann compaction equipment. The full compaction equipment range of Ammann, Rammax and STA is marketed

by Conplant under the one brand of Ammann.


2005
Conplant acquires Compaction Equipment Sales as part of its new Ammann compaction equipment sales business.


2007

Conplant opens in Western Australia through its acquisition of its dealer, Welquip. Conplant immediately expands the business to include hire.


2007

Conplant appointed distributor for Ammann Asphalt Plants. Conplant acquires Bitumen Equipment as part of its Asphalt Plant strategy.


2007

Conplant appointed as Case construction equipment distributor for greater NSW


2010

As part of a back to core business decision, Conplant exits the Asphalt Plant and Case construction equipment businesses. Conplant returns to its traditional core business area of compaction equipment.
