Overview:

Although it’s over 60 years ago, and we have grown significantly, we have not forgotten our roots. Peoples Credit Union has grown over the years: from the 20 and 21 charter members in 1944 and 1947 as Innisfil Credit Union and Shelburne Credit Union, respectively, to over 10,500 today; from assets of $163 to over $100 million; from a handful of volunteer staffers to 40 full-time and 15 part-time employees; from serving a community of farmers to now serving the community as a whole; from a member’s “kitchen” location to full service locations in Stroud, Alcona, Shelburne, and now, Tollendale Village in Barrie.

At every step, our growth has been driven by services and the philosophy of people helping people. Peoples Credit Union is a financial institution with a competitive variety of products and services and a strong commitment to people and member service. We’re led by a Board of Directors drawn from people who live and work in our community: Kevin Augustyn, Stan Dimakos, Brian Horner, Doug Fuller, Chris Hand, Al Jones, June Money, George Pohle and Donna Young.
