Overview:

The network was established in 1947 and now MGI is represented in over 80 countries and around the world by 120 accounting and consulting firms with more than 280 offices.

MGI refers to one or more of the independent member firms of the MGI international alliance of independent auditing, accounting and consulting firms. Each MGI firm in Australasia is a separate legal entity and has no liability for another Australasian or international member's acts or omissions. MGI is a brand name for the MGI Australasian network and for each of the MGI member firms worldwide. Liability limited by a scheme approved under Professional Standards Legislation.

Partners total 516 and are supported by 3864 staff members with total group turnover of US$218 million. MGI is rated in the top 20 of the worlds largest business advisory groups.

Unlike many other international networks, MGI firms remain independent and locally based enabling them to focus on the particular needs of their local and national markets whilst drawing on the international resources of MGI as required.

In Australasia, MGI has strong representation with member firms in Adelaide , Brisbane , Cairns , Melbourne , Perth , Sydney and Auckland (N.Z.).

MGI Australasia's specialist committees on Audit, Taxation, Business Services, Information Technology and Corporate Recovery set standards and provide a resource for information sharing and service development to each member firm. Regular meetings of these specialist groups as well as all partners at an annual meeting ensure a strong commitment to the mutual aims of providing better services to our clients through our joint efforts.
