COTE 100

History:

Founded in 1988 by Guy Le Blanc, COTE 100 is a Quebec-based company which specializes in portfolio management services.

Why choose COTE 100?
In 1988, Guy Le Blanc studied the qualities that make companies successful and translate into superior long-term stock market performance. He thus developed the COTE 100 System which evaluates companies according to three main criteria: financial health, performance and market valuation. The higher the quote is for a given stock out of a potential of 100, the more attractive it becomes to the COTE 100 portfolio management team - we focus our analysis efforts on these companies. Conversely, our team will not allocate time and energy to analyse stocks which obtain low quotes in the COTE 100 System. This System has not only proven its validity over several years, it has also been perfected with time.

The COTE 100 logo represents a young tree that will one day become tall. Our investment philosophy aims for long-term capital appreciation while also minimizing investment risks, thus ensuring capital preservation.

This investment philosophy has been described in detail in a book written in 1995 by Guy Le Blanc, "La Bourse ou la Vie", of which a fifth edition was published in 2012, and which has sold over 20,000 copies, making it a true best-seller in the world of finance in Quebec.

The COTE 100 Portfolio management team has been strengthened over the years and is today directed by Philippe Le Blanc, MBA and CFA, and Guy Le Blanc's oldest son. The team is comprised of highly-qualified managers.

Over the years, COTE 100's service offering has also been refined and today focuses mainly on private wealth management services. A range of services are offered according to an individual's portfolio size and needs. COTE 100 also publishes a monthly financial newsletter which caters to autonomous investors.

COTE 100 manages the COTE 100 family of mutual funds which is composed of funds specialized in large-capitalization companies, fixed income as well as small- and mid-capitalization companies.

Clubfin, a COTE 100 subsidiary, allows investors to access all Canadian mutual fund families without purchasing or selling fees.

The COTE 100 team is very proud of the long road travelled since 1988 and of its untarnished reputation. We strive to continue to build our clients' financial future with the same rigour by applying our three original governing principles of "Foresight, Prudence and Patience", to which we have later added "Presence".
