Profile:
Our Firm, founded in 1956, has three members, eight professional staff and three clerical staff - a total of fourteen people.
Our objective is to provide quality accounting, auditing, tax and management advisory services to our clients. To this end, we expect to limit our practice to those clients we can properly serve. We expect our growth to continue and to be limited to our present geographic practice area, a community we have served for more than forty years. We hope to retain our local identity and personal relationships with clients who are foundations of our practice.
Our practice is conducted from one office and is basically a general practice mostly composed of the following types of clients:
Audit Engagements - Labor Unions and Benefit Funds, Nonprofit Organizations, Single Audit Act - OMB A-133 Engagements, Condominium Associations and Multifamily Residential Properties.
Review and Compilation Statement Engagements - Small to Medium Privately Owned Businesses in Various Industries.
Other Accounting and Tax services for a Variety of Businesses and Individuals.
In order to be participating members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Firm must successfully complete, every three years, an independent peer review of their accounting and auditing practices. We are pleased to say that in all of our reviews, the most recent being December 2008, the reviewers concluded that the Firm complies with the stringent quality control standards set by the American Institute.
In order to provide our clients with outstanding capabilities and to insure that they receive the highest quality of service, we assign the proper staff to meet the needs of the engagement in three major areas: accounting and auditing, management advisory and tax service.
Accounting and auditing services primarily involve the examination of financial statements and the issurance of an independent certified public accountant's opinion on the fairness of the presentation of the financial position and operating results. We use a constructive approach in auditing. For example, as a result of acquiring intimate knowledge of clients' financial and administrative problems, we often recommend improvements that enable our clients to increae efficiency of operation, strengthen their financial structure and improve accounting and administrative controls. Our philosophy and practice is to blend the technical, the practical, and the business approach in the conduct of each engagement.
Audits of federally assisted organizations involve not only an examination of financial statements but also an independent auditor's report on internal control and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Due to the comprehensive nature of government auditing, our government audit staff maintains the continuing education and training requirements of the U.S. Comptroller General's Government Auditing Standards.
Our management advisory services provide the knowledge necessary to service clients in a wide range of functional areas such as operational auditing, accounting systems, data processing, financial controls, organization and personnel, and many more.
Our purpose is to assist clients to solve their management problems. The scope of a consulting engagement is determined in large measure by the client and depends partially on the extent of participation by the client's personnel. Our aim is to provide know-how, not manpower.
Our Firm provides a complete package of tax services for individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, estates, trusts and employee benefit funds. These services include both planning and compliance.
Our members and certain members of our professional staff are active in the profession, being members of the New Jersey Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Our professional contribution to these organizations has been recognized by our representatives being elected officers, directors, and committee chairmen.
The Firm has a substantial commitment to the professional development and training of its people. This commitment is evidenced by the partners and professional staff participating as discussion leaders and students at training seminars, in-house as well as within the profession.
In the belief that a nation's health is unalterably tied to its social well-being, our Firm encourages civic, community, and social involvement by its partners and professional staff. Many hold offices in local organizations and have given substantially of their time and ability on behalf of civic, community, and social organizations.
We believe in the value of relationships. We view every client relationship like a partnership, and truly believe that our success is a result of your success.
We are committed to providing close, personal attention to our clients. We take pride in giving you the assurance that the personal assistance you receive comes from years of advanced training, technical experience and financial acumen. Our continual investment of time and resources in professional continuing education, state-of-the-art computer technology and extensive business relationships is indicative of our commitment to excellence. |
