MRV Consulting was founded in January 2000 and its corporate headquarters is located in New Jersey. We have branch offices located in New York; Florida; Panama City, Panama; Santiago, Chile; and an affiliation with one of the leading valuation firms in Hong Kong and China, BMI Appraisals Limited.
Our professionals are comprised of designated appraisers and business valuation analysts who possess degrees in engineering, business, accounting, and finance allowing us to analyze both public and private company valuation matters. Our consultants have a broad range of professional training and certifications in the valuation profession, including ASA (Accredited Senior Appraiser), MAI (Member of the Appraisal Institute), and MRICS (Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors). We are experienced in all facets of valuation and skilled at providing litigation support and expert testimony.
MRV Consulting provides valuation advisory services to support various industries including public utilities, oil, gas and energy, government and defense, real estate, manufacturing, retail, chemical, aerospace, hospitality, finance, healthcare, high technology, telecommunications, and other complex industrial and commercial industries. In addition to performing valuations of complex integrated businesses, facilities, and equipment, MRV Consulting understands the interplay between machinery & equipment values, the marketplace, business operations, and the economics of a particular transaction. Global Compliance and Regulatory Environment
Given today’s global compliance and regulatory environment, the majority of our work is related to fair valuations for management reporting in accordance with Accounting Standards Codification 805 (ASC 805, formally SFAS 141), Business Combinations, and for tax reporting purposes under Internal Revenue Code Section 1060, Special Allocation Rules for Certain Asset Acquisitions, and Section 338, Certain Stock Purchases Treated as Asset Acquisitions.
For international transactions, we are qualified and have experience conducting valuations and appraisals for International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards (IAS). Further, we are members of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), which is a world renowned organization for the appraisal among other services for land, property, construction, and related environmental issues.
