nReturn Capital invests in carefully selected small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the potential for rapid growth in market share and profitability. Founded in 2007, InReturn is managed by African and European entrepreneurs who have invested their own money in the Fund and in the management company. We build and train local teams to invest in marketing and contact networks from our offices in Kenya, Tanzania and the Netherlands. A fourth office in Uganda will open in 2011.

In addition to providing financial support, InReturn takes an active mentoring role with company management. We provide advice and entrepreneurial expertise to streamline governance, increase efficiency, optimize operations and secure financial strength. This hands-on approach helps to reduce investment risk and create financial returns for our investors. InReturn targets a net return to investors of 10-15% in Euros during its Fund life of 10 years. Our strategy also contributes to overall economic growth and employment in emerging African markets.

In early 2010, InReturn was selected out of more than 60 fund managers as the first partner of Jacana Venture Partnership. This London-based investment company was founded by highly experienced European private equity experts who aim to alleviate poverty by attracting investment to SMEs in Africa. Jacana provides InReturn with capital and expertise to build the track record, raise larger funds and recruit additional private equity professionals for Tanzania and Uganda. Jacana’s support will ensure that InReturn Capital rapidly becomes one of the premier African SME financiers.
